Hakim Albasrawy

Hakim has deep experience in the social media and marketing sector. Over the course of his career, he has served clients ranging from Sapura, to Nestle and MDEC. Hakim is also the founder of thisisbinding, an online printing service.

Hakim’s work focuses on engaging communities around social causes using the power of social media. This is a particular type of social media strategy that engages people around a brand by creating strong and meaningful relationships between companies and their constituents.

Hakim spearheaded the 15malaysia social media campaign, which drew 10 million views and nearly 100,000 fans on Facebook. Hakim also launched Robinsons, a department store, in Malaysia.

Kal Joffres

Kal has nearly a decade of experience in consulting and investment, guiding clients in business strategy and marketing communications. Having worked across North America, the Middle East, and Asia, Kal brings to bear extensive experience and knowledge on market development. He combines his unique social marketing and multi-cultural business expertise to successfully facilitate programmes in the areas of strategic road mapping, creating social change, and social media marketing.

In addition to his work with Tandemic, Kal also serves as Chief Operating Officer of the Tandem Fund, a venture fund investing in social enterprises.

Previously, Kal was a consultant at Khazanah, served as a Partner at Tandem Consulting Group, and founded Wiredpalm, a web-based software development company in Montreal.

Harinder Singh

Harinder is a social media evangelist and digital forensics analyst. His work focuses on location-based social media services, such as FourSquare. Harinder leads and is connected to a variety of social media communities in Malaysia. He has been assigned a Super User by Foursquare, providing him administrative privileges over Foursquare in Malaysia. He leads 4SQKL, Kuala Lumpur’s Foursquare advocacy group connecting users and businesses to location-based social media. Harinder is also part of the Social Media Clubs Kuala Lumpur and Penang, which advocate social media for business and organize monthly discussion panels with thought leaders in social media.

Previously, Harinder managed OffGamers’ social media department, monitoring online presence, community development, and executing social media campaigns. Previous to his work with the social media department, Harinder was a fraud analyst handling with OffGamers. He worked closely with Royal Malaysian Police on a number of cyber-crime issues locally and internationally.
